
The MassHire Greater New Bedford Workforce Board and Career Center congratulates the seven training participants who received their certificates of completion from the MACWIC Level 1 and Level 2 Advanced Manufacturing Competency training that took place at the Discovery Language Academy in New Bedford.
This 80-hour MACWIC course taught by MassMEP prepared the students with essential skills to assist them in finding employment for entry-level jobs in Advanced Manufacturing. The courses consist of Shop Math, Lean Manufacturing, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, OSHA 10, Blueprint Reading, Metrology, Work Readiness, Statistical Process Control, and Team Involvement Problem Solving. This program was funded by a grant from the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative in partnership with the New Bedford Workforce Board.
